Art Prompt Title: Half a Whole
for Manderly by the amazing delires 



She looked so serene, dressed in clinging white. The material picked out every curve of her perfect figure and made a striking contrast to the red slick of lipstick on her mouth. One of her hands was clutched to her breast, as though she had a pain in her chest.
As I watched, her fingers sank beneath her skin, through her flesh, and into the hollow of her ribs. I could hear the thudding of her heart, far too loud to be real. Her face remained serene, even as she pulled the wet organ out of her body, and held it dripping in her hand.

I like the way the colors of the blackground blend together, very sinister. Is this done digitally or traditionally, may I ask?

Thank you! The background was changed lots of times, so I'm glad I stuck with this one. It was done digitally on Painter so the effects are more traditional than others!

This is lovely! I like how the edges of Mal's figure are blurred, making her look even more like an apparition, and her expression is just perfect. Very creepy and gorgeous.

I love the blurry edges and the neat details and the colours in the background, together they give the piece such a haunting feeling. And her expression is so intense...
